No Magic In Becoming An Entrepreneur

There is no "magic" involved in becoming an entrepreneur ... even if it looks like some entrepreneurs succeed by sheer magic to people sitting on the sidelines.

But, remember this. There is always a logical explanation behind every clever "magic" trick (or what appears to be a "magic" trick)!

Want to know what my "trick" is?

One Small Step For...

I learned to start small. Yes. I learned early in life to assert myself by undertaking relatively small projects that looked feasible to me ... but not to others.

In fact, when I had a choice, I would always choose the project that others considered as "impossible".

I felt I had more to gain that way. And, in fact, I had!

Each of my undertakings was looked upon with skepticism. Those who did not know me well enough would state that I was "crazy" to even try.

In the early days, that skepticism was usually good enough to persuade me that the deed was worth it!

I'm not talking of brash, foolhardy deeds. I'm referring to worthwhile projects - both for me and potentially for others.

None of the projects that I embraced ever involved undue risks for my life, my health, my family, my hard earned money ... or that of others.

On the other hand, each successful outcome served me well...

  • Each success increased my experience in how to win.

  • Each contributed to build my reputation as a bold enterprising individual. That, by the way, is all that I ever put at risk. :-)

I succeeded in becoming an entrepreneur without taking financial risks. I never put more than my time and pride in harms way.

To be on the "safe" side, I chose to learn from the best.

It worked! ;-)
