Decision Making Tools
For A Web Business

Before identifying the decision making tools you will need as Web entrepreneur, let's look at what decisions you will have to make. I will then leave you with a working recommendation, at the end of this article.

The Decisions

  • Choosing the main theme of your business Web site.

  • Choosing the keywords - that fit well with your chosen theme - and that are most used by Web surfers, and for which there are relatively few truly informative pages on the Web.

  • The keywords and topics that are most likely to be profitable.

  • The structure of your Web site.

  • The most appropriate monetizing avenues for your business Web site theme.

  • The "Look and Feel" of your Web site.

  • proper research tools
  • and decision making tools.

The Tools

The decision making software tools that are most likely to be of use to you, as small Web entrepreneur, will be the ones that have been designed specifically for a Web business context. These tools must have the following characteristics:

  • Guide you in your research and discovery.
  • Help you organize your thoughts.
  • Help you make the best decision, and the most profitable compromises.
  • Help you factor in the specific context of your projected Web business.
  • Help you decide objectively, rather than subjectively.

Obviously, this is a tall order. I am sure you will think that such tools cost "an arm and a leg". Well, to be honest, most do. The reason for this is that most tools, designed for decision making, are general purpose and, more often than not, must be enhanced with add-ons and specialized modules to fit a particular context. A costly proposition.

My Recommendation
