Internet Income And More!

Site Build It!

Making money - in this case in the form of internet income - is the obvious "bottom line" of any business on the web.

But profits from online work do not grow out of thin air. The road to success is long and full of dangerous curves. There are no shortcuts. What will drive you all the way to destination safely?

Your inner motives will play a leading role toward ensuring a safe journey. So, let's have a deeper look to find out what your motives are.

What is your primary motive behind starting a small business on the web?

You are preparing to embark on a commercial venture. Your primary motive - over and above internet income - could be one or more of the following:

  • You are bored at work? That might be what started you thinking, but it is certainly not a sufficiently strong and lasting motive.

  • You seek self-fulfillment and perhaps the recognition you feel you deserve.

  • You want to be your own boss and take charge of your future.

  • You have been toying with the idea for a long time. You suddenly have the time to give a - work at home opportunity - your best shot! You may have just lost your job, recently retired, or are recovering from an illness at home.

  • In fact, you may already feel you have what it takes and you are looking for a career change. (In any case, you will certainly find out if indeed you have what it takes with the help of this site).

  • You have a passion to share (more on this in the "WHAT" section).

Your internet income must be a by-product of your online work efforts on your web site, not a motive or a goal in itself. Your motivation must have deeper roots than that. You can spend money until you have none, but you can hardly spend your passion to nothing. It is an almost limitless source of satisfaction. That is what will keep you going for years to come.

Of course, you could have one or more unique motives of your own that have not been mentioned above. Whatever your reason to become a web entrepreneur might be, you must be able to identify it clearly. Ask yourself if you are ready to spend the rest of your life working for that specific motive instead of internet income exclusively.

In fact, you may not want to work at all. You may prefer to spend enjoyable time doing what you like most, living your passion ... and getting a life as a bonus!

Money as a useful tool

I am taking the liberty of insisting here that a profitable web site as a means of generating internet income can become the "debt solution par excellence". Your online work can indeed help eliminate debt forever providing, obviously, that you stop spending more than you earn!

Extra help from internet income can also dampen the high costs of education. The revenues from a commercial web site is the ideal education financial aid. There is no need to look further for college financial aid. Take the stress out of your financial-aid-scholarship search.

You put money as a top priority in your retirement planning. So your small online business can easily help solve that part of your retirement plan equation.

Your website internet income can also free you from depending on grants for the disabled, either for a loved one or yourself, if it's the case.

Money is not everything

Quite frankly, if you are in it just for the money - and especially if you expect to make a "quick buck" - then I will definitely not be of any help to you here. It will be just a matter of time before you give up in disgust. Furthermore, it is much more difficult to start over after failing in such a way. You may lose your self-confidence in the process.

That would be a costly mistake and a real shame. You likely had the solution in front of your eyes all along. However, you will fail if you are blinded by the hope of a quick or easy internet income return.

Get returns for what?

Speaking of returns, the word "return" implies that you have to give something first, does it not? You give first, to get something in return after. It's logical.

What you have to give has be of value, otherwise you will be constantly forced to start over and offer something else again. However, you can be certain that a customer, disappointed once, will not come back for more ... even if you do it right the next time!

You must make your offer a good one the very first time. You can and should continue improving your offer afterward.

But, above all, you must have a passion. You must:

  • want to share it with others

  • want to be of help to your prospective customer

  • want to give before you ever think of internet income

A win-win business proposition.

This work at home opportunity should be based on a win-win proposition if it is to become successful. Successful businesses, large or small, are based on a fair exchange principle. Your customers must feel that they have received something of value from you, before they decide to buy from you, and contribute to your internet income.

Your customers should never feel pressured into a sale. Quite the opposite. They should be able to decide by themselves whether they want to buy from you or not. You can -and should - help them make a decision of mutual benefit though.

You establish a warm human relationship by supplying information of value and useful answers first. This principle is behind every successful business. In fact, if the ecommerce solution is to be successful, you must give useful information even more generously to compensate for your physical absence!

Consider this scenario. Someone walks into your store. Your visitor asks a question about your products or describes a problem she would like to solve. You answer in a friendly and helpful manner. The potential customer may ask a few more questions and you continue giving information of value. (Notice the transition from person to potential customer here). Will that person be more inclined to buy from you or from somebody else? I would.

I am biased toward the helpful store owner. I always respond favorably when I am getting more than I expected ... before any transaction ever takes place!

All this may sound difficult to achieve and a bit overwhelming right now. Actually it's not. It is like putting the ox back where it belongs: before the cart.

My calculated risk

I am taking a calculated risk in being open about this issue. All these imperatives might scare you away from ever becoming a web entrepreneur. However, I feel that the better I tell it to you like it is, the more you are likely to succeed. You will be spending a lot of time and energy in your new undertaking. If I cheat you out of vital information, now or at any other time, you will hate me for having failed to warn you. And you would be quite justified in doing so.

With this web site, I am offering my services as your virtual mentor. However, you are not obliged in any way to follow my advice at any time. If you do, you will have to bear with me though. The path is simple and straightforward, but it is not easy. There is no such thing as a "free lunch". But you already know that, don't you?

Let common sense prevail

Hopefully, you will supply your prospective customers with more than they had ever hoped for when they first visit your web site. If you abide by this simple and sound business proposition then your internet income is assured and it will be long lasting.

Follow the basic rules of common sense. Treat your visitors generously, fairly and honestly. They will become satisfied customers.

Satisfied customers come back, and tell others. Word of mouth is THE best way of building a sound business.

Stay tuned!

Please come back and visit this site often. I will be adding to this site regularly.
