Internet Marketing Technique

Here are my views on what internet marketing technique is, as well as how it should be envisioned, and practiced on your Web site. The pressure, all of it, must be on you, never on your prospective client!

Effective marketing helps people make up their mind, by themselves. No pressure must be involved. At least, it must not come from you. Rather, it must originate from the prospective client. The prospective client must be gently, respectfully helped - not pushed - toward self imposed pressure to buy.

Marketing is not about selling. Marketing is about:

  • Building your reputation and notoriety.
  • Establishing a privileged rapport with your prospective clientele.
  • Building trust, and confidence in you and your offer.
  • Making your offer known to your target clientele.
  • Helping your target clientele arrive at an informed decision.
  • Gently, respectfully and, above all, honestly conditioning your target clientele toward your most wanted response (a sale, a request for proposal, a partnership, etc.)
Which internet marketing technique should you adopt?

In my humble opinion, it should be the one that will be
the most respectful
of your prospective clientele's complete freedom of choice?


Make Her Feel "Special"

Your efforts should be concentrated on convincing your target clientele that you truly have their best interest at heart. That's the hardest part of the internet marketing technique I practice. But, it is, by far, the most effective and rewarding approach.

By the way, you may have noticed that I often mention your "target clientele". That's because you should concentrate your entire attention on the person with the specific profile you are looking for. You have identified that "ideal" person in your preliminary research, when you were building a business case (for yourself) of your Web business idea.

That ideal person must feel that you are addressing yourself to her. She must feel as though you are anticipating her questions … because, you actually are! That's also an important part of your marketing research. She must see that you have taken the trouble to get to know her, and her expectations. Every single prospective client must feel "special".

That's how you establish a privileged rapport with your prospective client. That rapport will, eventually, turn into a vote of confidence … and your most wanted response.

Keep It Real

The internet marketing technique I propose is designed to effectively help your prospective client decide by herself what she wants, and who to buy it from. You achieve this by giving her free access to:

  • The verifiable information she is looking for. You have identified that specific information need when you were establishing the profile of your target client.
  • Easily accessible means of verifying that what you give in the way of information is true, to the best of your ability and knowledge.
  • A description of the problem she is looking to solve. You have also identified what that problem most likely is.
  • The most useful options or solutions. Again, make them verifiable.
  • The pros and cons of every significant option, as you honestly see them.

Given such helpful information, your target clientele will persuade itself of :

  • The need to buy, or not.
  • Who's offer to take … yours or someone else's.

The last thing you want to do is to try selling something to someone, before you have made reasonably sure that that person

  1. has come to the right place
  2. will find all she needs to arrive at an informed decision.

It is essential that you consider building a customer base upon a solid footing of satisfaction. That is precisely what my internet marketing technique will give you.

Share, Give, And Be Patient

Sales will become a natural consequence of your willingness to share useful, and critical decision making information with people. Selling is a goal. Sales will happen as a result of a series of actions, initiated by you, to genuinely help your customer.

People are constantly searching the Web for help and honest answers. Give them what they want, up front. You will stand out from the heap of hype, and earn the respect you deserve.

Be patient. With time, and my internet marketing technique, properly applied, you will be handsomely rewarded for your honesty, patience, and efforts.

Let Nature Take It's Course

When you do your marketing right, you almost never need to sell!

The customer herself will initiate that event often enough to make it worth your while. Trust me.

Take the hint from the successful farmer. Prepare the soil lovingly, plant quality seeds diligently, and let nature do the rest. Reap when ready.
