Marketing Plan Software
To Be In Control



Marketing plan software is essential in situations where you have to spend a significant amount of money on marketing.

However, the software comes in an entirely different form when you are an "infopreneur", doing business on line exclusively, like me. More on this below.

When you have to invest a lot of mney in marketing, you want to get your money's worth! That's where marketing plan software becomes useful.

Your plan will have to rest on a minimum number of carefully planned activities. These are:

  • Thorough market analysis detailing what the situation is now, and what is expected to change, even before you activate your marketing plan.

  • Objectives and strategy. In other words, on what do you intend to spend money, and why!

  • Expected results. What do you expect to get out of your marketing plan: more sales, more recognition, more market penetration in specific areas ...? All laid out along a given time line.

  • The marketing budget. This is a detailed plan in which you indicate as precisely as possible, how much you intend to spend on each activity, and who will have the authority to spend. The budget plan must also be designed to help you track expenses as they occur.

I am an infopreneur. I have virtually no overhead, because my business is almost virtual! I do not have to invest in marketing much, because my Web sites do all the marketing for me.

Therefore, the marketing plan software that I use is completely different from the one used in the preceding circumstances.

The software that I use to plan my marketing activities runs on a remote server. It consists of modules, tightly integrated with the other modules that I use to build and operate my Web sites, and my entire business.

The use of the marketing modules is fully explained in the Site Build It! Action Guide. I just follow the guide to prepare and track the results of my marketing plan, and to periodically make adjustments to it.

I do not have to spend extra money to acquire additional visibility and impact in my chosen markets. My Web sites do that for me, relentlessly and very effectively. Therefore, I do not need to identify, document, and track a special marketing budget.
