The Best Of
Retirement Planning Tools

Retirement planning tools for more than financial planning.

What do you expect out of retirement planning tools. Most people generally answer that they want a solid financial plan that will ensure that they will have enough to live on, when comes the time to retire.

Financial planning is, of course, essential. It is never too early to start saving and making those savings grow.

But What About You?

Yes, what are you going to do each and every day of the rest of your "retired" life?

  • Buy things with the money you saved? Then what?
  • Travel? Then What?
  • Play golf? Then what?
  • Spend time on your hobby? Then what?

You see, these are the fundamental questions that you should strive to answer, with the help of retirement planning tools.

There is one big problem, though. No retirement planning software, that I know of, was designed to help you answer to the most critical question.

What will be my purpose in life when I "retire"?

You will find, at the end of this page, a link to the software tool that I used as, a retirement planner, to help me find what I really wanted out of life.

Like me, you will find that you knew it all along but, again like me, you will discover that you had pushed it in the back of your mind for so many years that you had lost sight of it.

What is that "it"? Your "it".

With the help of this tool, I "rediscovered" that what I really like to do every day is composed of two main activities.

  • researching
  • writing

But why? To what end?

Deep down, I have always felt (since high school, actually) that I knew things that people did not.

In fact, most people acquire knowledge and know-how that others would like to have. We are all individuals with different backgrounds, life experiences, interests, motivations, etc. We are all different.

My problem then, and for most of my working life, is that I did not know how or where to find the people that would be interested in what I knew.

Why was I (unconsciously) always seeking attention?

I have discovered that it is because ...

  • I like the occasional "pat in the back" ... positive feedback.
  • I like to exchange with like minded people (with intellectual curious minds) on an equal level.
  • I like to repeatedly experience the "rush" of discovering things, concepts, and the people behind them.

Mission Accomplished

I now do what I want, the way I want, when I want, every day since I left my day job in December 1997.

I now know how to reach the people that are interested in what I know.

I now have a large growing readership. I meet and exchange with like minded individuals every day, through the Internet.

"Pure unadulterated bliss" !;-)

I all began when I discovered what I really wanted out of life with the help of Choose It!
