Starting A Web Business
On A Shoestring



When thinking of starting a Web business, the first question you should ask yourself is:

"What do I really need to succeed
as a beginning internet entrepreneur
... if I have no more than a few hundred dollars to start with?"

The answer is, in essence, that you...

  1. Need to know how to identify a real demand for something you intend to offer, be it a product, a service, or both.

  2. Need to know how to start from scratch and what steps will be required to respond to market demand.

  3. Need to find trustworthy sources of information and support.

  4. Need to be ready to work hard but intelligently, with dedication and purpose.

Where can you learn how to meet the above requirements on a micro budget? I'll cover that in a moment. But first...

Money?

Notice I did not mention any substantial sums of money. That is because you do not need more than a few hundred dollars when starting a Web business.

In fact, in most cases you can even
get your target market's attention for less than one dollar a day!

Remember this. You only need to invest money when you absolutely must. When is that?

When the demand for your product and/or services is such
that you cannot meet it alone anymore
with the resources you started off with.

Before you spend any more than a few hundred dollars per year on your Web business, you must first grow to a point where, to continue to meet the rising demand and continue to grow further, you find yourself having to ...

  • hire personnel and/or
  • rent floor space and/or
  • buy equipment and/or
  • buy raw materials, parts or components to manufacture your products ...

But, again you ask ...

How To First Grow On So Little Money?

How do you buildup a significant level of attention and demand for your products and or services?

  1. By being significantly different (better and innovative) from the competition in every respect.

  2. By making your many differences widely known in order that your targeted customers recognize them as most desirable.

Is starting a Web business possible on next to no money? Yes, you most certainly can. But, you must learn to start small and to choose/use only best-of-breed Web marketing techniques.

You should never have to spend more than a dollar a day
during the first year or two.

This is more than enough

How To Get Noticed?

If you are thinking here of massive advertising campaigns ... you have forgotten that I said earlier that you do not need money - not more than a few hundred dollars a year, anyway - when starting a Web business.

Certainly not by simply putting up a Web site or a blog!
